Martin was born and raised in Caracas (Venezuela) to a German father and a Venezuelan mother. At a very early age his interest in music and, in particular, in his instrument the bass guitar were quite evident.
His musical career path starts in his home country where he performs with several Latin and American-pop cover bands before all kinds of audiences. In this period he was able to perform on important events where well established Latin artists such as Oscar d’León, Guaco, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Elvis Crespo participated as well. His first stop in Germany was in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg! Soon after his arrival he started playing with the most important salseros in the region. In his only two years in Munich he has been able to perform on the most coveted salsa and Latin jazz stages of the Bavarian capital. Since the spring of 2016 he has become a permanent member of Minga 3.
