Music has always been the greatest companion in Simona’s life. From a young age, she knew in her heart that she would have a deep connection with music and the stage. Her passion for music was ignited by her father, who introduced her to the rhythms and melodies that would become the heartbeat of her life. From a very young age, music was more than just a sound—it was a way of being.
Her journey began in Romania, where, for three formative years, she sang and played guitar in an ethnical band, immersing herself in the rich musical traditions of her homeland.
In 2004, Simona moved to Spain, where her musical spirit found new expression. In 2011, she launched her solo career under the name Helen von S, dedicating her voice to the vibrant world of house music. With her powerful performances, Simona captivated audiences at festivals and concerts, covering house tracks with a soulful energy that resonated with crowds of all sizes.
The next chapter of her musical journey unfolded in Germany, where she discovered Minga 3. Drawn together by a shared love for music, she became an integral part of the band, contributing to their evolving sound as they released their own albums. Yet, Simona’s creative drive didn’t stop there. Alongside her work with Minga 3, she continues to pursue her own solo projects, composing and performing original songs that blend the influences of soul and reggae into a unique musical tapestry.
